D.J. is a general practice attorney focusing primarily on real estate, zoning/land use, estate planning and administration, business entities, and general civil litigation.  D.J.’s practice includes conducting real estate transactions from start to finish, including conducting closings, and as a title insurance agent for Old Republic, issuing title insurance policies through the firm’s title company, Apex Title Company of Maine.

Born and raised outside of Chicago, D.J. graduated from Northern Illinois University with a bachelor’s degree in finance in 2004. He attended the John Marshall Law School in Chicago and received his Juris Doctorate in 2007 and was admitted to the Illinois Bar the same year.

D.J. joined his family practice with his father and sister, achieving favorable results in numerous criminal defense proceedings, while regularly representing clients in residential, commercial, and agricultural real estate matters and counseling clients on estate planning.

After a visit to Portland, Maine in 2011, D.J. fell in love with it and the State of Maine and dreamed of one day relocating to the Portland area. D.J. was admitted to the Maine bar in 2020 and that same year moved to Scarborough with his family.   D.J. enjoys reading, running, hiking, playing hockey and tennis and exploring Maine and New England with his family.
